EXTRACTION METHOD, TOTAL SAPONIN AND USE OF ILEX KUDINGCHA C.J.TSENG LEAVES

摘要

An extraction method for Ilex kudingcha C.J.Tseng leaves and the total saponin of Ilex kudingcha C.J.Tseng leaves extracted using this method, and its use for preparing a medicine which lowers cholesterol and blood lipids and resists atherosclerosis. The extraction method comprises the steps of: extracting by refluxing Ilex kudingcha C.J.Tseng leaves with an aqueous ethanol solution, after having filtered the extracted solution to remove ethanol, separating and purifying the same using a macroporous resin column.
