A query assistance device comprises: a generation means for generating, from a database which manages both information which denotes configuration elements for each item of data, including type, and association information which denotes either the association object or the association source between data, association information between the types of data; and a recording means for linking combinations of association information between two or more of the types of data which are linkable on the basis of a match between the type of the association source and the type of the association object, and recording, in a storage means, the results of the linking as query association information for limiting the scope of a query of the database.
