[Problem] To provide a silicon carbide member having high bond strength in a high-temperature environment, a heat transfer tube in which the silicon carbide member is used, and a heat exchanger provided with the heat transfer tube. [Solution] A silicon carbide assembly is obtained by bonding together silicon carbide members, which are formed from sintered compacts having silicon carbide as a main component, with a bonding member, which is formed from a sintered compact having silicon carbide as a main component, interposed therebetween. Therein, the maximum void diameter in the bonding member is less than the maximum void diameter in the silicon carbide members. The silicon carbide bonded body has high bond strength in a high-temperature environment.
