Disclosed is a method for enhancing interference coordination in a heterogeneous network, comprising the following steps: a low power node (LPN) obtains spatial location information of the LPN within the coverage of at least one macro cell; the LPN notifies the spatial location information of the LPN within the coverage of the macro cell(s) to the macro cell(s) according to the identifier of the macro cell(s). Also disclosed are other methods and apparatus for enhancing interference coordination in the heterogeneous network. The technical solution of the present invention enables a macro base station and the LPN to use different spatial location information to reduce strong interference between each other.
