A material for the arts or for the building industry is described, comprising binders, thickeners and inert materials or anti-caking materials. Said binders are chosen among milk and/or components and/or derivatives thereof and eggs and/or components thereof and represent between 5 and 95% of the overall weight of the material, the thickeners are chosen among methyl-cellulose types, starches, seaweeds and jellies and represent between less than 1% and 15% of the overall weight of the material and the inert materials and anti-caking materials are chosen among calcium carbonate, lime and/or silica and represent between 1 and 90% of the overall weight of the material.
