A backflow prevention device connected between a bathroom facility and drinking water, comprising a sealed container (1), an electrically controlled switching valve (2), a water outlet mechanism (3), an overflow channel (4), at least one liquid level sensor (51, 52) and a control circuit (6). The liquid level sensor (51, 52) sends a sensor signal of the water level status in the container (1) to the control circuit (6); the control circuit (6) determines whether to send a signal to the electrically controlled switching valve (2) to control the water intake volume according to the signal sent by the liquid level sensor (51, 52), thereby eliminating the disadvantage that a large volume of excess water is drained from the overflow channel (4) in the traditional water intake method. Because a gap of predetermined space is provided between the water intake (11) of the container (1) and the intake (41) of the overflow channel (4), the electrically controlled switching valve (2) directly connected to the upstream pressure drinking water is completely separated from the downstream bathing water, effectively cutting off potential downstream contaminated water from back flowing to the upstream drinking water system due to factors such as backpressure and siphoning, thus eliminating possible contamination from the bathroom facility to the connected drinking water system, thereby ensuring the safe usage of the drinking water system.
