The switch (1) has a power supply (PS) including a power transformer (3) arranged at conductors (L1-L3). A secondary winding (4) is connected with an electronic trip unit (ETU). One conductor forms a primary side that supplies the trip unit with electrical energy over the transformer when power is temporarily changed. A primary winding (5) is arranged on a core of the transformer towards the secondary winding. A converter (DAW) taps voltage when energy requirement at the conductors and supplies the electrical energy to the primary winding.
