METHOD FOR SECURELY DEMATERIALISING THE TRANSFER OF EVIDENCE IN DATA-STREAM PRODUCTION SYSTEMS, IN PARTICULAR VIDEO-SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS

Thanks to quality improvements and increasing numbers of cameras installed, video surveillance is being used more and more frequently as legal evidence. Said evidence must therefore be incontestable. The method according to the present invention comprises the steps of setting up a secure end-to-end network; digitally signing the recorded data, regardless of the type; encrypting the recorded sensitive data; and setting up a key-management system for the creation, renewal, distribution and repudiation of keys; as well as setting up an evidence administration process that guarantees the timestamping of the digital signature, the validation of said digital signature and, ultimately, the archiving of the legal evidence of the video stream integrity and authenticity.
