METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SWITCHING MASTER AND STANDBY MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE

Disclosed are a method and system for switching master and standby management software. The switching method includes: master management software recording the operation inputted on the console by a user into the cache; the master management software synchronizing the data stored in the cache thereof to the cache of standby management software by way of a management process; the master management software performing on a managed server the operation inputted on the console by the user; and switching with the standby management software when the master management software has an exception. In the method and system for switching master and standby management software provided in the embodiments of the present invention, the operation is recorded into the cache and synchronized to the standby management software before performing the operation, avoiding configuration data exception of the managed server or other failure errors due to operation loss caused by the switching between the master and standby management software, improving the availability of the management software.
