The vehicle (1) has a frame provided with a front axle, a rear axle and an engine. A passenger compartment (3) is provided with a front overhang part (7). The compartment includes a body and a floor pan. A set of rows of juxtaposed seats (21, 22) is connected with the floor pan. A passage front section (23b) extends on a part of a floor pan part (11b). The passage front section is formed by the seats and longitudinal walls of the body. A transverse section (23c) connects rear and front sections of a longitudinal passage. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a road vehicle.
