Light guide for an illumination unit, particularly in the interior space, of a vehicle, comprising: a light-guiding section (20); and a coupling section (10) for coupling light, comprising a first deflection device (13) in order to introduce coupled light in a first direction into the light-guiding section, and a second deflection device (14) in order to introduce coupled light in a second direction, which is opposite of the first direction, in the light-guiding section (20), wherein the light-guiding section (20) extends annularly from the first (13) to the second (14) deflection device and, in order to decouple coupled light from one of the surfaces thereof, comprises diffusion surfaces (25) on the surface thereof opposite of said surface.
