The cart has a carrier element (4) for a front wheel arrangement provided on a telescopic rod (10). A straddling rod (8a) is pivoted according to release of an adjustment device during bringing of a chassis from an operational position into a foldable stowing position by pushing forward of a carrier (6) on profile tubes (11). Lower frame beams (2a, 2b) and upper protecting beams (7a, 7b) are pivoted in a direction of the tubes, and upper frame beams (1a, 1b) are pivoted in a direction of a plane of the rod and one of the profile tubes. The tubes are displaced by the rod forwardly.
