The method involves affecting reference current component with respect to a test signal. The torque, actual speed of rotor, and torque-generating process value of set point current component are evaluated to adjust slip default. The torque associated variables are filtered based on test signal with predetermined discrete angular frequency, to determine test-signal components. An independent claim is included for field oriented control arrangement.
