The invention relates to method for operating a network node (NN) in a vehicle (VH). The method comprises the steps of operating a first radio interface (RI1) of the network node (NN) with a radio access technology of a radio communication network (RCN1) and as a radio interface of a mobile unit, and operating a second radio interface (RI2) of the network node (NN) with the radio access technology and as a radio interface of a base station of the radio communication network (RCN1) towards at least one mobile unit (MU1, MU2) located in the vehicle (VH). The invention further relates to a network node (NN) performing the method and to a vehicle (VH) comprising the network node (NN).
