EAST ASIAN DROUGHT MONITORING SYSTEM AND THE METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: East Asia drought monitoring system and method are provided to enable users to easily check the real-time drought present condition and the progress of the drought in the entire area of East Asia. CONSTITUTION: An East Asia drought monitoring system comprises a drought information providing server(200). The drought information providing server generates monthly drought condition information and forms a database based on the information. A user can use a user terminal(100) for inputting the request for the monthly drought condition information of a specific area. The drought information providing server receives the request from the user terminal and provides the information to the user terminal from the database. The drought information providing server includes a rainfall data receiver, a monthly rainfall data generator, a monthly effective drought index calculator, a monthly available water resources index calculator, and a central processor.
