PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for purifying water to maintain rivers are provided to restore eco-friendly ecology-rivers and to secure the stability of the maintenance with respect to the water to maintain the rivers.;CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for purifying water to maintain rivers includes a rectangular water purifying bath(100), a plurality of pore controllable dual filtering units(200), a water collecting duct(300), and a water quality purifying agent introducing unit(400). The pore controllable dual filtering units are continuously installed between a central wall(106) and a front wall(102) installed at the internal bottom(105) of the water purifying bath. The pore controllable dual filtering units convert the direction of river water to be filtered. The water quality purifying agent introducing unit is installed at the front side of the water collecting duct and introduces a water quality purifying agent to coagulant and float remaining contaminants.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
