PURPOSE: A method and device of signal presence detection in a radio communication system based on a cognitive radio are provided to detect whether a received linear modulation signal is a specified user.;CONSTITUTION: In a method and device of signal presence detection in a radio communication system based on a cognitive radio, a preliminary calculation part(304) calculates an eigenvalue and eigenvector of the Covariance matrix of a frequency signal by using vectorized Fourier transformation of whole channel impulse response. A calculation unit(305) obtains enough statistics by using a frequency signal vector, an eigenvalue, and eigenvector. The calculation unit calculates a boundary value by using a detection probability or a false alarm probability and the eigenvalue. When enough statistics is larger than the boundary value, the detection unit(306) decides whether the transmission signal exists.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
