PURPOSE: The vehicle detection method of a vehicle is provided to minimize a vehicle detection error within a tunnel by detecting an orange element which is unique color of the tunnel in daytime driving.;CONSTITUTION: The edge region of a vehicle candidate is detected based on an imaged which is recorded from a camera operated according to daytime detection control(S100). The inputting status of a predetermined color is determined in the edge region(S102). An area of the predetermined color is calculated in the inputting status of the predetermined color(S106). The controller determines the inputting status of the predetermined color which is distinguished on the edge region and a previous edge region. A tunnel entrance state is checked based on the area of the calculated predetermined color(S108). A daytime detection control is changed into night time detection control(S110).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
