PURPOSE: A method for managing quality of molded steel is provided to perform processes according to the extent in which deformity is expected by detecting the state of the workpiece produced in the continuous casting.;CONSTITUTION: A method for managing quality of molded steel comprises next steps. A mold is discharged to a cutter, and temperature of the mold is measured. The temperature of the mold is measured with a width direction temperature-measuring device. The temperature of an edge part is compared with the avoidance temperature on database. The workpiece width direction temperature-measuring device comprises a thermometry(100), and a chamber(200) and an emission unit(300). The thermometry emits the infrared ray based on the scan line. The chamber comprises the internal space coping with the scan line. The emission unit is communicated in the internal space of the chamber.
