METHOD FOR SYNTHESIZING CARBON NANO-FIBER CAPABLE OF APPLYING SUPERIOR ELECTROCHEMICAL CHARACTERISTIC, MECHANICAL CHARACTERISTIC, AND HIGH SPECIFIC SURFACE AREA TO THE CARBON NANO-FIBER WITHOUT A REFINING PROCESS
PURPOSE: A method for synthesizing carbon nano-fiber is provided to cost effectively obtain uniformly synthesized carbon nano-fiber by implementing a metal catalyst containing mesoporous sol-based coating process and a thermal chemical vapor depositing process.;CONSTITUTION: The surface of a carbon-fiber substrate is pre-treated. A mesoporous sol containing a metal catalyst is coated on the pre-treated carbon-fiber substrate. Carbon nano-fiber is synthesized on the coated carbon-fiber substrate. The pre-treating process is an inorganic acid-based acid treating process or an ultrasound wave-based dispersing process. The coating process includes the following: A surface activator, distilled water, alcohol, a metal, and a silica source are mixed. The mixture is coated and dried on the carbon-fiber substrate.
