PURPOSE: A suction anchor pile comprising a dropping propelling unit and a method of constructing a suction anchor pile using the dropping propelling unit are provided to easily make the inside of the hollow of a suction anchor pile have a negative pressure state by discharging water to the inside of the hollow. CONSTITUTION: A suction anchor pile(100) comprises a dropping propelling unit(1). The dropping propelling unit is detachably installed on the upper part of the suction anchor pile. The dropping propelling unit comprises a propelling unit(10), and a coupling member(20). The propelling unit pushes water backward and generates forward thrust. The coupling member is coupled to the propelling unit and is detachably coupled to the upper part of the suction anchor pile so that the propelling unit is arranged on the suction anchor pile.
