PURPOSE: A method for separating nacreous layer from an ormer shell is provided to rapidly separate nacreous layer by high concentration hydrochloric treatment. CONSTITUTION: A method for separating nacreous layer comprises a step for processing an outer surface of an ormer with 20 weight% to 35 weight % acid aqueous solution(a), a step for removing outer surface layer by grinding process(b), and a step for selectively repeating the step(a), and the step(b).
