The present invention relates to a radio station (NodeB) a method of operation of a wireless communication system , the radio station (NodeB) is transmitted to the first subscriber station (UE1) data related to two or more values (PAR1, PAR2) of the transmission parameters for the subsequent data transmission of the first subscriber station (UE1). The radio station (NodeB) determines the level of the transmission quality using the first signals (PS1) and receiving the said first signal (PS1) over the air interface from the first subscriber station (UE1). Then , the radio station (NodeB) sends the first data (I1) to the first subscriber station (UE1) to a value that is selected from the values (PAR1, PAR2) of the transmission parameter , the first data (I1 ) considers the transmission quality of the first signal (PS1).
