PURPOSE: A touch planer system for inquiring/analyzing geographical information and a method for performing thereof are provided to compare and inquire about inquired thematic maps with various methods on the same map screen at the same time if a user inquires about a plurality of thematic maps. CONSTITUTION: A main thematic map selector(211) provides a main thematic map list. A sub thematic map selector(212) selects another main thematic map and thematic maps of the selection main thematic maps as a sub thematic map. A screen display unit(220) displays the main and sub thematic map selector and displays the map area of the selected main and sub thematic map on the same map screen at the same time. A main thematic list generator(310) generates a main thematic map list by querying to a main thematic map database. A thematic requester(320) generates the generation of a main and sub thematic map corresponding to the map area by determining the map area related to the main and sub thematic map.
