FREEZE-BURST PROTECTION SYSTEM OF HEAT-EXCHANGER/ COOLING COIL, A CONTROL METHOD THEREOF, AN AIR-CONDITIONER INCLUDING THE SAME AND A COOLING TOWER CAPABLE OF AUTOMATICALLY DRAINING THE FLUID OF HEAT-EXCHANGER/ COOLING COIL

PURPOSE: A freeze-burst protection system of heat-exchanger/ cooling coil, a control method thereof, an air-conditioner including the same and a cooling tower are provided to only drain the fluid in case the freeze-burst possibility exists by automatically the fluid of heat-exchanger when the heat-exchanger does not run.;CONSTITUTION: A freeze-burst protection system of heat-exchanger comprises a drain valve(30), a freeze-burst factor detection unit(40), a drain completion detection unit(50) and a temperature valve. The drain valve is automatically controlled and the drain pipe(20) of the fluid in the heat exchanger is switched. The freeze-burst factor detection unit detects at least one among the inner temperature and outer temperature of the heat exchanger if the freeze-burst factor of the heat exchanger is detected. The drain completion detection unit detects the drain completion of the fluid in the heat-changer. The temperature valve is installed in a second drain pipe guiding the drain of the fluid in the heat exchanger. In the temperature in which the heat exchanger is frozen to break, the second drain pipe is opened.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
