CT IMAGE AUTO ANALYSIS METHOD, RECORDABLE MEDIUM AND APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATICALLY CALCULATING QUANTITATIVE ASSESSMENT INDEX OF CHEST-WALL DEFORMITY BASED ON AUTOMIZED INITIALIZATION
PURPOSE: An automation method of a computed tomography(CT) image analysis which automates an evaluation index calculation of a chest deformation degree based on automatic initialization, a recording medium, and an apparatus thereof are provided to apply various image processing techniques and completely automate an initialization process for image segmentation, thereby automatically extracting the inner boundary of a chest from a CT image. CONSTITUTION: A chest computed tomography(CT) image is horizontally aligned based on boundary information with respect to lungs in a chest CT image horizontal alignment step(S320). A boundary information saving step(S330) for each part including lungs is based on the horizontally aligned chest CT image. An edge map creation step(S340) is based on the boundary information of each part acquired from the chest CT image. A gradient vector flow(GVF) field creation step(S350) is corresponding to the edge map.
