PURPOSE: A method for measuring the size of a slab is provided to reduce processing time by measuring the length, width, and thickness of a slab using the moving speed value and corner coordinate value of the slab.;CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring the size of a slab is as follows. A distance to a slab is measured(S10). The coordinate value of the corners of the slab is calculated using the measured distance value and the moving speed value of the slab(S20). The length and width of the slab are calculated using the coordinate value of the corners of the slab(S30). The thickness of the slab is calculated using the distance value(S40).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
