PURPOSE: A client group classification method and apparatus thereof are provided to grasp the interesting information of users by analyzing watching patterns of viewers in a home shopping channel. CONSTITUTION: A product classification information extraction unit(141) extracts product classification information of products which is broadcasted in a home shopping channel based on EPG(Electronic Program Guide) information. A watching pattern analysis unit(142) creates watching pattern information of a viewer for the home shopping channel based on the EPG information and watching log-in information. A client group classification unit(143) creates the interesting product category of the viewer based on the watching pattern information.
