PURPOSE: A session connection control device in a communication system and method thereof are provided to control the connection of a session and to determine the characteristic of each layer through network supplying information.;CONSTITUTION: A session characteristic determination unit(211) determines the characteristic of a transport layer, a network layer, and a physical layer. A path characteristic determination unit(213) selects a transport path for the connection of a session. The session characteristic determination unit determines the characteristic of the selected transmission path.
