PURPOSE: A float bath for manufacturing float glass and a method for cooling the float bath are provided to maximize the cooling effect of a floor casing by efficiently utilizing gaps between bricks on the floor.;CONSTITUTION: A float bath for manufacturing float glass is composed of a brick assembly(110), a floor casing(120), and an air blower. The brick assembly stores molten metals and is composed of bricks(B). The floor casing defines the outer frame of the brick assembly. The air blower supplies cooling air to the floor casing and is separated from the floor casing. The spraying position of the cooling air corresponds to gaps between the bricks of the brick assembly.
