METHOD FOR OPERATING HARQ(HYBRID AUTOMATIC REPEAT REQUEST) CHANNELS CAPABLE OF SYNCHRONIZING A HARQ CHANNEL INDEX BETWEEN THE BASE STATION AND TERMINAL IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND AN APPARATUS THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method for operating HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request) channels and an apparatus thereof are provided to minimize the signaling overhead of a HARQ channel index without increasing the control complexity of a terminal over an error of the HARQ channel index.;CONSTITUTION: A base station determines a HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request) burst of a specific terminal in a specific carrier wave(202). A base station scheduler selects a HARQ channel index which is presently not used for the HARQ burst from whole HARQ channel indexes which are allocable(204). The base station scheduler finds an ACID(HARQ channel identifier) value corresponding to a selected HARQ channel index based on a predefined mapping rule(206). The base station directs the ACID value to a terminal through a down link control channel for assigning the HARQ burst to the terminal(208). The base station transmits the HARQ burst to the terminal according to A-MAP(Advanced-MAP) message(210).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
