AN AUTOMATIC DETECTION METHOD OF CARDIAC CARDIOMEGALY THROUGH CHEST RADIOGRAPH ANALYSES AND THE RECORDING MEDIUM THEREOF

PURPOSE: An automatic cardiomegaly detection method through chest radiograph analysis and a recording medium thereof are provided to calculate the area of a region of interest among heart and chest regions, thereby maximizing image accuracy. CONSTITUTION: A chest radiograph is pre-processed in a first step(S10). A lung boundary line is detected by analyzing the chest radiograph in a second step(S20). A lung peak point region is detected from the chest radiograph in a third step(S30). A segmentation process is performed with respect to a region of interest in a fourth step(S40). Lung and heart regions are identified among the region of interest in a fifth step(S50). A heart-lung index is calculated in a sixth step(S60). An analyzed result is displayed on a screen in a seventh step(S70).
