PURPOSE: A transfer apparatus using a linear motor and a control method thereof are provided to increase the interval between coil parts by employing a pair of sensing parts separated a fixed distance from the centers of the coil parts.;CONSTITUTION: A transfer apparatus using a linear motor comprises a guide rail(10), a carriage(20), a plurality of permanent magnets(21), a plurality of coil parts(30a,30b,30c), and a pair of sensing parts. The guide rail is arranged along a transfer path. The carriage reciprocates along the guide rail. The permanent magnets are coupled to the carriage. The coil parts are arranged along to the guide rail, facing the permanent magnets. The sensing parts sense the position and speed of the carriage and are arranged at a fixed distance from the centers of the coil parts.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
