PURPOSE: An apparatus for forming an image on a base material in printing and a method thereof are provided to guarantee uniform gloss of images and generate a mask missing jet of a print head.;CONSTITUTION: A method for forming an image on a base material in printing is as follows. An ink is sprayed on a surface of a base material(110). The ink on the surface of the base material is partially cured with first radiant rays. A nib(166) has a first surface of a first member and a second surface of a second member. The base material and the partially cured ink are pressed in the nib to level the ink on the surface of the base material.
