PURPOSE: An adaptive OSIC(Ordered Successive Interference Cancellation)-SD(Sphere Decoder) and a decoding method using the same are provided to greatly reduce the complexity of a conventional SD by reducing an operation amount of a decoder. CONSTITUTION: A receiving unit(210) receives a signal from the outside through an antenna. The receiving unit changes a received signal into a form suitable for decoding. A channel estimating unit(220) estimates a channel of a receiving symbol based on the signal converted through the receiver. A decoding unit(230) decodes the receiving symbol estimated by the channel estimating unit in an OSIC(Ordered Successive Interference Cancellation) decoding method or a SD(Sphere Decoder) decoding method according to a SNR(Signal-To-Noise Ratio) range. The decoding unit comprises a MMSE(Minimum Mean Square Error) decoder finding a coordinate position of the receiving symbol estimated by the channel estimating unit, an OSIC decoder decoding the receiving symbol passing the MMSE decoder according to the SNR range, and a Chan-Lee SD(Sphere Decoder) decoder.
