PURPOSE: A method for lifting a derrick structure is provided to guarantee float stability by descending a derrick structure while sailing a drilling ship or emergency situation such as typhoon because a derrick structure can be lifted by a derrick lifting structure.;CONSTITUTION: A method for lifting a derrick structure(120) installed in the upper part of a drilling ship is as follows. A locking pin(141) of a lifting maintaining part(140) is inserted in a locking groove(131c) to support load of a derrick structure. In order to descend the derrick structure in emergency situation such as typhoon, the locking pin moves in traverse direction to be separated from the locking groove. The derrick structure is descended by operation of a hydraulic cylinder(130) and the locking groove is corresponded to the position of next locking pin. After descending the derrick structure is finished, the locking pin is inserted in the locking groove again and the derrick structure is kept in the descended position.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
