PURPOSE: An apparatus for determining the driving mode of vehicles is provided to determine the driving mode of an environmentally-friendly vehicle according to the amount of power under intelligence power network environment.;CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(100) for determining the driving mode of vehicles includes a transmitting and receiving part, a storing part, and a controlling part. The transmitting and receiving part receives the power profile of a vehicle(200) and the power profile of a building(400) from subscriber network(300) and transmits a mode signal to the vehicle. The mode signal is one of an energy saving mode, an ordinary mode, or an energy consuming mode. The storing part stores power profiles, the power usage planning amount of the building, and setting information of the modes. The controlling part calculates the predicted power consumption of the vehicle and the suppliable amount of power to the vehicle and outputs the mode signal to the vehicle through the transmitting and receiving part.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
