PURPOSE: A packet combining device for a communication system and a combining method thereof are provided to use high quality data by using a channel decoder which calculates not only a system LLR(Log Likelihood Ratio) but also an LLR for a parity bit.;CONSTITUTION: A demodulator(301) demodulates data received from a channel. A symbol demapper(302) demaps demodulated data. A combiner(303) combines demapped data with received data saved in a HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request) buffer(304). Combined data is inputted into a channel decoder(307) through a route(306). The channel decoder calculates an LLR(Log Likelihood Ratio) for an inputted bit.
