PURPOSE: A voice communication system and a method thereof are provided to improve the sound quality in a converted spectrum subtraction method in which a gain function with a differentiated weight is used for considering transmission frequency response features.;CONSTITUTION: A sound quality improving device(200) sets a subtraction weight in a plurality of frequency sub bands. The sound quality improving device calculates a gain function of each frequency band according to a specific frequency response feature. The sound quality improving device improves the sound quality for an external voice signal by the calculated gain function.
