PURPOSE: A recombinant microorganism is provided to produce 1,3-pripandiol and 3-hydroxypropionic acid without vitamin B-12.;CONSTITUTION: A recombinant microorganism produces 3-hydroxypropionic acid or 3-hydroxypropionic acid and 1,3-propandiol simultaneously by transducing a recombinant vector containing puuC gene encoding aldehyde dehydrogenase. The recombinant vector additionally contains dhaB gene encoding glycerol dehydratase and gdrAB gene encoding glycerol dehydratase reactivase. The puuC gene encoding aldehyde dehydrogenase is derived from the genomic DNA Klebsiella pneumoniae DSM 2026.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
