PURPOSE: A method for connecting a USB device to an image display device and an image display device thereof are provided to permit the access of the USB device when the authentication of the image display device is identical to that of the USB device.;CONSTITUTION: When receiving a connection signal of a USB device, an image display device transmits a first authentication request signal to the connected USB device(S801,S802). When receiving the first authentication, the image display device decodes the received first authentication(S803,S804). When receiving a second authentication request signal of the USB device, the image display device transmits the second authentication to the USB device(S805,S806).
