APPARATUS AND A METHOD FOR REPRODUCING SOUND WAVE FIELDS USING WAVE FIELD SYNTHESIS BASED ON A SPEAKER ARRAY

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for reproducing sound wave fields using wave field synthesis based on a speaker array are provided to minimize the distortion of sound field information by classifying multichannel signals into primary signals and ambient signals.;CONSTITUTION: A signal sorting unit(110) classifies received multi channel signals into primary signals and ambient signals. The signal sorting unit is an up-mixer sorting the primary signals and the ambient signals. A sound image localization information estimating unit(120) estimates sound image localization information of the primary signals and the ambient signals classified at the signal sorting unit. A rendering unit(130) renders the primary signals and the ambient signals based on the sound image localization information and listener environmental information.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
