PURPOSE: A traffic control method and apparatus thereof are provided to reduce overload of mobile communication networks by transmitting the information of a reception terminal to a first base station.;CONSTITUTION: A gateway(110) confirms the location of a reception terminal(132) and a calling terminal(131). The gateway determines direct communication between terminals based on the location of the calling terminal and the reception terminal. In case the direct communication is determined between terminals, the gate way requests direct communication indications between the terminals to a first base station of the calling terminal and a second base station(120b) of the reception terminal.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
