PURPOSE: An image separation apparatus and method thereof are provided to accurately acquire separation images by separating foreground images from background images in real time.;CONSTITUTION: An image reception unit(110) receives input images. A background model creation unit(120) creates background models corresponding to the input images. A foreground image separation unit(130) determines foreground images for a reference pixel of all pixels by using the background model.
