PURPOSE: An agent system for a digital signature using a sign private key with double encryption and a method thereof to store the sign private key in a web storage are provided to improve the convenience of a user without installing subscriber base software or a separate certificate application.;CONSTITUTION: An agent system for a digital signature comprises a user terminal(100), a certificate management server(200), a authentication information database(300), and a digital signature communicating server(400). The certificate management server manages a sign private key with double encryption according to a certificate use request message from a user terminal and transmits a decoded sign private key and a corresponding certificate to digital signature communicating server. The authentication information database registers a second public key and a certificate of the user terminal. The sign private communicating server receives the personal identification number of the digital signature by providing a temporary certificate to the user terminal.
