PURPOSE: A local ventilation device and a multi-hood local ventilation method for fluctuating air pollutants are provided to obtain maximum pollutant processing efficiency and to reduce equipment costs by controlling the flow in each hood with an associated control for a plurality of hoods. CONSTITUTION: A multi-hood local ventilation method for fluctuating air pollutants comprises the following steps. Pollutants are firstly(S100) generated from a plurality of pollution sources. The generated pollutants are sucked and discharged by connecting a first branch pipe(111) to a first main pipe(110)(S200). The pollutants are secondly(S300) generated from a plurality of the pollution sources. The pollutants generated in the S300 step are discharged by connecting a second branch pipe(121) to a second main pipe(120)(S400). Additional pollutants are sucked and discharged through the second branch pipe. The discharged amount of the pollution sources in the S200 and S400 steps is respectively distributed to the first main pipe and second main pipe through a flow distributor(140)(S500). The pollutants passed through the flow distributor are reduced and discharged by pollutant processing unit(150).
