PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for generating warning signals to inform the collision of vehicles are provided to generate warning signals with respect to the collision of the vehicles by comparing the moving paths and the estimated passing timing of the vehicles.;CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for generating warning signals to inform the collision of vehicles includes a moving path information obtaining unit(11), a speed information obtaining unit(12), a controlling unit(13), and a radiofrequency transmitting and receiving unit(14). The moving path information obtaining unit obtains the moving path information of a corresponding vehicle at an intersection. The speed information obtaining unit obtains the speed information of the corresponding vehicle. The controlling unit calculates the estimated passing timing of the corresponding vehicle at the intersection and compares the estimated passing timing of the corresponding vehicle at the intersection with the moving path information and the estimated passing timing of another vehicle.
