PURPOSE: A group text message transmission method using a portable terminal is provided to transmit a group message with simple manipulation by the information of a receiver included in a group to a message transmission program according to the selection of a soft key corresponding to the group.;CONSTITUTION: An address book program is executed(S401). A group is outputted on a screen(S402). A soft key which is able to transmit a group message is embodied at one side of the group. When the selection of the soft key is confirmed, the information of a receiver is transmitted to a message transmission program(S404).
