PURPOSE: A signal receiving apparatus in MIMO-OFDM systems and a running method thereof are provided to apply adaptive QRD-M based on virtual channel payoff matrix.;CONSTITUTION: A running method of signal receiving apparatus in MIMO-OFDM systems comprises the following steps: converting signal of input radio frequency band into baseband signal by a RF processing unit(50); outputting parallel frequency domain symbols of a plurality of subcarriers by fast Fourier transform(FFT) of the baseband signal by an OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) demodulation unit(60); applying an algorithm which reduces condition number for channel matrix formed between a transmitter and a receiver by a channel estimation unit(70) using the plurality of subcarriers; calculating new virtual channel matrices by the channel estimation unit; and applying QRD-M detecting technique to the parallel frequency domain symbols and the virtual channel matrices by a signal detection unit(80).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
