PURPOSE: A pre-distortion apparatus and method for compensating non-linear distortion are provided to stably compensate the non-linear characteristics of a non-linear device if the non-linear characteristics of the non-linear device are changed by the lapse of times or environment.;CONSTITUTION: A pre-distortion filter(110) provides inputting signals and outputting signals which pre-distorts the inputting signals based on a filter which is modeled using the past values of the inputting signals. A pre-distortion output estimating part(120) estimates the characteristics of a non-linear device based on signals processed in the non-linear device and the outputting signals and calculates the desired outputting signals of the pre-distortion filter based on the estimated characteristics of the non-linear device.
